However, this technological evolution also introduces complex challenges related to the model development, as well as ethical and transparency concerns, the reby requiring robust governance aligned with social values. This study investigates the integra tion of Artificial Intelligence Governance into Information Technology Governance, focusing on the existing gap within the COBIT 2019 framework, which does not adequately address Arti ficial Intelligence Governance principles. Through a Systematic Literature Review, national and international guidelines, technical standards, and market frameworks were mapped, leading to the consolidation of fundamental Artificial Intelligence Governance principles. Semantic analy sis between COBIT 2019 governance objectives and Artificial Intelligence Governance princi ples was conducted using Cosine Similarity, supported by Elbow method threshold detection to avoid arbitrary cutoffs. The results revealed limited adherence across several governance objec tives, guiding the proposal to expand COBIT 2019 to incorporate specific Artificial Intelligence Governance concerns. The proposed expansion was validated by governance experts through a Likert-scale questionnaire, with Cronbach’s Alpha confirming the reliability of the instrument. The evaluation results were positive, demonstrating both feasibility and credibility of the propo sed expansion. This research contributes to academia and practices by proposing an integrated governance model in which Information Technology Governance effectively encompasses Arti ficial Intelligence Governance, thereby preventing overlaps among multiple governance systems and reinforcing the ethical, transparent, and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence within or ganizations.", publisher = {Universidade Nove de Julho}, scholl = {Programa de Pós-Graduação em Informática e Gestão do Conhecimento}, note = {Informática} }
